As part of activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the JIB-PMES, the Board Chairman, John Allott, visited NA Guppy Limited in Devon. The company was founded by Norman Guppy in 1963 and was one of the first companies to join the JIB-PMES Welfare and Benefits scheme in 1972. Serving Exeter and the surrounding areas, NA Guppy Ltd is still going strong – and now employs the third generation of family plumbing and heating engineers.
John presented a wall-clock to Mrs Ethel Guppy, Norman’s wife, pictured above with her son Charles, who now runs the business along with his brother, Stephen.
“We’ve always valued being members of the JIB-PMES Scheme. Following the National Working Rule Agreement means that everyone in the business knows where they stand. The welfare benefits provided under the scheme make our operatives feel valued and protected.“ commented Charles Guppy.
