From November 2025, the title of the JIB-PMES HETAS Installer card will be changing slightly to HETAS Registered Operative card. This category of card remains intended for those whose work includes the completion of installation and maintenance activities on either solid fuel heating systems, their flue and or chimney systems.

Cardholders must hold valid, individual HETAS registration and be able to provide evidence that they have undertaken sufficient training.

Eligibility

There is a pathway through the L3 Plumbing NVQ Diploma/Plumbing Apprenticeship Standard which reflects this job role and leads to HETAS registration. Those who have completed such a route should apply for a Plumber Gold card jib-pmes.org/plumber-gold-registration-card.
