Important Notice: Changes to JIB-PMES CSCS registration scheme
White PRO card phase outThe JIB-PMES has undertaken work to begin phasing out its white Plumbing Related Occupation (PRO) cards. This is necessary in order for us to meet the CSCS and Construction Leadership Council (CLC) requirements in terms of ensuring that appropriate qualifications (at a minimum standard of NVQ L2 or equivalent) are identified for each occupation by 2020. Work has commenced to map a framework which will be used during the process to identify appropriate pathways for existing PRO occupations so that they may be directed to relevant qualifications. This process will entail combining certain closely matched occupations into logical groupings and also aligning other occupations to existing JIB-PMES card categories (e.g. Plumber, Heating Fitter, Mechanical Pipefitter etc.) (more…)
Updated requirements for NARIC applications
In light of recent cases relating to the fraudulent obtaining of CSCS cards, the JIB-PMES is introducing an increased level of checking to protect those people genuinely applying for JIB-PMES CSCS Registration cards by providing statements of comparability through UK NARIC.
From Monday 12th November 2018 all card applicants who are submitting NARIC equivalence reports as evidence of genuinely obtained comparable foreign qualifications, will also be required to provide the JIB-PMES with a copy of their current photographic ID (e.g. Biometric Residence Permit or Passport).
From Monday 12th November 2018 any applications received which rely on NARIC equivalence reports as evidence of technical capability will not be processed unless valid, current photographic ID can also be provided.
Card holders working on gas must hold a current Gas Safe registration. To check their current status please telephone Gas Safe 08004085500 www.gassaferegister.co.uk
