CSCS Partnership
The CSCS – Construction Skills Certification Scheme – was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents. CSCS cards cover hundreds of occupations and have become the accepted proof of
occupational qualification throughout the construction industry. CSCS registration is increasingly demanded by contractors and both public and private employers.
The JIB-PMES has been in partnership with CSCS since the early 2000’s and is therefore one of the CSCS scheme’s most longstanding partner organisations. Partnership with CSCS means that the JIB-PMES CSCS Registration Scheme adopts the same rules and requirements as the core CSCS scheme. The rules and requirements are determined through an Industrial Strategy which is overseen by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Board.
CSCS Alliance
The CSCS Alliance membership comprises 37 card schemes, including the JIB-PMES and the core CSCS scheme. CSCS Alliance schemes operate with nationally recognised qualifications in place for core occupations, providing assurance that over two million UK construction workers are trained and qualified for the job they do on site.
