Smartcards
All JIB-PMES CSCS registration cards issued since 2017 have been Smartcards. The cards are classed as ‘Smart’ because they contain a chip (similar to the chip on a bankcard) which contains all relevant cardholder information (name, registration ID number, qualifications etc.) and can be read electronically by a card reader.
JIB-PMES CSCS registration Smartcards operate using the CSCS ‘Smartcheck’ system. This means that JIB-PMES Smartcards can be read electronically by any person or at any location that has a link to the ‘Smartcheck’ system or the ‘Smartcheck’ app. The CSCS Smartcheck app is available as a desktop application (for installation on a PC or laptop, along with a card reader) or as a smartphone app for either Apple iphones or for smartphones which use ‘Android’ technology.

Check a JIB-PMES Smartcard
The ‘Smart’ nature of our JIB-PMES CSCS registration smartcards allows these types of cards to be checked and verified online. To check a JIB-PMES CSCS registration smartcard, please follow the below link; select ‘JIB-PMES’ from the scheme providers and then type in the cardholders surname and eight digit registration number (Note: If the registration number on the card only has 7 digits, please insert a ‘zero’ in front of the first digit)
